Big Ideas
Big Ideas, the brainchild of AE consultants Grant Wiggins and Denise Wilbur, is a monthly online journal that helps educators foster authentic learning in their classrooms and schools.

Big Ideas is a practical resource for educators across the spectrum, from administrators to teachers. It provides practical, professional, and inspirational ideas for use in schools and classrooms. You'll find book reviews, exemplary units, dozens of tips for design and best practice, and answers to the education questions you always wanted to know but were afraid to ask.

In each issue, Big Ideas will focus on a key educational theme. Our current issue is on "grading". Future themes include "diversity in learning" and "making sense of standards". For a limited time, Big Ideas is free, so check it out!
I'm a doctoral student from Pennsylvania. We had our candidacy exam yesterday which was on the subject of assessment. I was so happy to find your web site -- I watched all the videos and read many of the articles and felt quite up-to-date for my responses. I just had to be careful not to begin each answer with "Grant Wiggins says ...." Thanks for the great resource! Paula Purnell
